What does a restroom trailer need on site?
A restroom trailer needs three things on site: level ground the truck can reach, a garden hose spigot within about 75 feet, and a standard 110-volt, 20-amp outlet within about 100 feet. If there is no water, a fresh water tank can be added. Without power, choose deluxe flushing units instead.
| Trailer | Stalls | Fits a guest list of about | Water / power |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2-stall | 1 women, 1 men + urinal | Up to 120 (5 hrs) | Hose + 1 outlet |
| 3- to 4-stall | 2 women, 1–2 men | 120–250 | Hose + 1 outlet |
| 6- to 8-stall | Split men and women | 250–500 | Hose + 1–2 outlets |

When is a restroom trailer the wrong choice?
A restroom trailer is the wrong choice on a slope, in a soft field after rain, far from a hose and an outlet, or on a short-notice order. Trailers need a few days to schedule and a site check. In those cases, deluxe flushing units with sinks give guests most of the comfort with no hookups.
What is inside a restroom trailer?
A restroom trailer has separate stalls with porcelain flushing toilets, running-water sinks, mirrors, vanity lighting, soap and towel dispensers and climate control. Guests climb two or three steps to enter. It feels like a home bathroom, which is why trailers are booked for weddings and formal events.

Restroom trailer questions
How far ahead should I book a restroom trailer?
Book a restroom trailer 4 to 8 weeks ahead for most dates, and up to 3 months ahead for peak wedding Saturdays in June, September and October. Short-notice trailers are sometimes open; call to check.
Does someone stay with the trailer during the event?
Restroom trailers are delivered clean and fully stocked, with extra paper and soap inside. No attendant is included. For very large events, plan a quick mid-event check by venue staff or a family member.
Can the trailer hose run across a walkway?
The fresh water hose and power cord can be routed along an edge or covered with a mat so no one trips. Tell us where guests will walk, and the driver will set the trailer to keep lines out of the path.
What if the venue has no water?
A fresh water tank can be added to the order, so the trailer runs without a spigot. Power is still needed. Without power, choose deluxe flushing porta potties, which need no hookups at all.
