What changes the price of a porta potty rental?
Five things set a porta potty rental price: the delivery location, the unit type, the dates, how often it is serviced, and how many units you order. Location and dates matter most, because one truck trip covers every unit on the order and rush trips cost more to schedule.
| Price factor | How it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Location | Delivery is included within 25 miles of downtown Columbus. Farther addresses add a distance fee on the quote. |
| Unit type | Standard costs least. Sinks, wheelchair access and trailers cost more. |
| Dates | Same-day orders and holiday weekends like July 4 can add a fee or sell out. |
| Servicing | Weekly service is included on monthly rentals. Extra visits are added per visit. |
| Quantity | One delivery trip covers every unit on the order, so the second unit costs less per unit. |
What extra fees can show up on a porta potty quote?
Four extra fees can appear on a porta potty quote: a same-day fee from $75, a distance fee past 25 miles, extra service visits from $65 each, and damage or misuse charges. Each fee is listed on the quote before you pay, so the quote total is what you are charged.
- Same-day fee: applies when a truck is re-routed to reach you today. It is quoted on the call.
- Distance fee: applies past 25 miles. Most towns in the 80-mile area add a modest flat amount.
- Extra service: busy sites can add a second or third weekly visit.
- Damage or misuse: fire, tipping or trash dumped in the tank. Normal use is never charged.
There is no fuel surcharge and no card fee. See the rental terms for damage rules.
How does monthly porta potty billing work?
Monthly porta potty rentals bill every 28 days, not by calendar month. A unit delivered on March 3 renews on March 31, then April 28. The rental keeps renewing until you call for pickup. Each 28-day cycle includes four weekly service visits.
A short job of one to three weeks is billed as one 28-day cycle. The biggest costs in a rental are the delivery trip, the pickup trip and the service visits, so a shorter stay costs almost the same to run. For a one-day party, an event rental is the better fit.
Is there a daily rate for a short rental?
Kurt Rental Works does not rent porta potties by the day or the hour. A party or one-day event uses the flat event rental, which covers drop-off through the next business day. Rentals longer than a week use the 28-day rate, which includes weekly cleaning.

Porta potty pricing questions
Is delivery included in the porta potty price?
Delivery and pickup are included within 25 miles of downtown Columbus. Addresses farther out add a distance fee that appears on the quote. One delivery fee covers every unit on the same order, so adding a second unit does not add a second trip charge.
Why does a three-week rental cost the same as a month?
Rentals longer than one week bill on a 28-day cycle. Delivery, pickup and weekly service visits make up most of the cost, so three weeks and four weeks cost nearly the same to run. The cycle includes four service visits.
Do holiday weekends cost more?
Holiday weekends like July 4 and Labor Day book up first, and same-day orders on those weeks may carry the same-day fee. Booking one to three weeks ahead keeps the regular event price and the unit type you want.
Do you charge for the days the unit sits before and after my event?
The flat event price covers drop-off through next-business-day pickup. A Friday drop and a Monday pickup for a Saturday party cost nothing more than the event rental itself.
Is the price per unit or for the whole order?
Unit prices are per unit. Delivery is per trip, not per unit, so a quote for two units shows two unit prices and one delivery line if the address is past 25 miles.
Do you offer discounts?
Orders of several units, repeat contractors and nonprofit or church events can get a lower per-unit price. Tax-exempt groups can send a certificate and tax is removed. Ask on the call and the discount is shown on the quote.
